Privacy Policy (Personal Information Protection Policy)

LUMIEC Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") recognizes that the appropriate handling of customers' personal information constitutes a social responsibility in the provision of its transfer and hire-car services. The Company complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the "Personal Information Protection Act") and other relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, and has established the following Privacy Policy (including its Personal Information Protection Policy; hereinafter referred to as this "Policy"). The Company appropriately acquires, uses, and manages customers' personal information, including personal information obtained through the website operated by the Company (hereinafter referred to as the "Site").
Basic Policy
Recognizing the importance of personal information, the Company handles personal information in accordance with the following basic policy in order to ensure its thorough protection.
- The Company complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other relevant laws and regulations, guidelines established by the government, and other norms.
- When acquiring personal information, the Company clearly specifies the purpose of use in advance and acquires and uses personal information within the scope necessary to achieve such purpose.
- The Company takes necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of the personal information it handles and to otherwise ensure its safe management.
- The Company continuously reviews the laws, regulations, and internal rules concerning the handling of personal information, and strives to improve them.
- The Company responds appropriately and promptly to customers' inquiries, requests for disclosure, and complaints concerning the handling of personal information.
Article 1 (Scope of Application)
This Policy applies to the handling of customers' personal information acquired by the Company through the provision of the Site and the Company's services (hereinafter referred to as the "Services").
The Site may contain links to external sites operated by third parties other than the Company. With respect to the handling of personal information on such external sites, the privacy policies established by the respective sites shall apply, and this Policy shall not apply.

Article 3 (Personal Information to Be Acquired)
In providing the Services, the Company acquires the following personal information.
1. Information acquired through the inquiry / reservation (reservation request) form
- Name
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Date and time of boarding
- Number of passengers
- Place of departure and destination
- Other information entered by the customer, such as requests
2. Information acquired when the simple member login function is used
- Information necessary for using the member function, such as a login ID
Use of the simple member login function is optional. Even if it is not used, customers may still submit inquiries and reservation requests.
3. Information automatically acquired in connection with the use of the Site
- Information such as cookies, access logs, browsing history, IP addresses, and browser types (as set forth in Article 7).
Article 4 (Purposes of Use)
The Company uses the acquired personal information within the scope of the following purposes.
- To respond to reservation requests from customers, to arrange vehicle dispatch, and to communicate regarding operation
- To respond to inquiries and consultations from customers
- To prepare and present estimates
- To bill and settle usage fees and to issue receipts and qualified invoices
- To provide the simple member login function and to make various communications to member customers
- To improve the quality of the Services and to consider and develop new services
- To perform other operations incidental to the purposes of use described above
Except where the consent of the customer has been obtained in advance or where permitted by laws and regulations, the Company does not use personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use described above.
Article 5 (Provision to Third Parties)
Except in the following cases, the Company does not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the customer's consent in advance.
- Where based on laws and regulations
- Where it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent
- Where it is particularly necessary to improve public health or to promote the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent
- Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local public entity, or a party entrusted thereby in performing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the customer's consent is likely to impede the performance of such affairs
Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Company may, to the extent necessary to provide transfer services, provide customers' personal information to transportation arrangement partners such as affiliated drivers, to the extent necessary for vehicle dispatch and operation.
Article 6 (Outsourcing)
The Company may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to external business operators within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, the Company selects the outsourcing contractor after conducting appropriate due diligence, and provides necessary and appropriate supervision of the outsourcing contractor by concluding an outsourcing agreement or by other means.
The principal external services used or outsourced by the Company are as follows.
- Vehicle dispatch and transportation arrangement (affiliated drivers, etc.)
- Email delivery service
- Hosting service for the Site (Vercel)
- Access analysis service (Google Analytics 4)
Article 7 (Cookies and Access Analysis)
On the Site, the Company may use cookies in order to improve customer convenience and to understand the usage status of the Site. A cookie is a mechanism that stores information regarding the use of a website in the customer's browser, and does not by itself identify any specific individual.
The Site uses "Google Analytics 4" provided by Google as an access analysis tool. This tool uses cookies and the like to collect and analyze the usage status of the Site (number of accesses, pages viewed, usage environment, etc.).
The Site provides a mechanism for obtaining consent regarding cookies, and the measurement tags for access analysis are loaded only after the customer has given consent. If the customer does not give consent, such measurement is not carried out.
By changing the settings of the browser being used, customers may refuse to accept cookies or disable cookies. However, if cookies are disabled, some functions of the Site may become unavailable.
Regarding the handling of data in Google Analytics 4, please also refer to the privacy policy and terms of use established by Google.
Article 8 (Security Control Measures)
The Company takes necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of the personal information it handles and to otherwise ensure the safe management of personal information.
- Organizational security control measures: The Company designates a person responsible for the handling of personal information, establishes rules concerning such handling, and confirms the status of compliance therewith.
- Human security control measures: The Company provides necessary education and supervision to employees who handle personal information.
- Physical security control measures: The Company takes measures to manage the areas where personal information is handled and to prevent the theft of equipment, recording media, and the like.
- Technical security control measures: The Company takes measures to control access to personal information, to encrypt communications, and to otherwise prevent unauthorized access and the like.
Article 9 (Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc. of Retained Personal Data)
Customers may, based on the Personal Information Protection Act, request the Company to notify the purpose of use, disclose, correct, add to, or delete the content of, suspend the use of or erase, and suspend the provision to third parties of, their own personal information retained by the Company (retained personal data) (hereinafter referred to as "disclosure, etc.").
Requests for disclosure, etc. should be submitted to the inquiry desk set forth in Article 12. The Company will respond within a reasonable period in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations, after confirming that the requester is the individual concerned.
When making a request for disclosure, etc., the Company may, depending on its content, ask for the presentation of documents to confirm that the requester is the individual concerned.
Pursuant to the provisions of laws and regulations, the Company may be unable to comply with a request for disclosure, etc. In such cases, the Company will notify the customer to that effect and of the reason therefor.
Article 10 (Personal Information of Minors)
When a minor customer uses the Services and provides personal information, please use the Services after obtaining in advance the consent of a person with parental authority or another legal representative.
The Company may handle personal information provided by minor customers on the assumption that the consent of a person with parental authority or another legal representative has been obtained.
Article 11 (Revision of This Policy)
The Company may revise all or part of this Policy due to amendments to laws and regulations, changes in the content of the Services, or other circumstances.
When revising this Policy, the Company will post the revised content on the Site. The revised Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on the Site.

Inquiries regarding this Policy and the handling of personal information, as well as requests for disclosure, etc. of retained personal data, should be directed to the following desk.

Article 13 (Governing Law and Court of Jurisdiction)
The interpretation and application of this Policy shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
In the event that a dispute arises between the Company and a customer regarding this Policy or the handling of personal information, the Osaka District Court shall be the exclusive court of jurisdiction by agreement for the first instance.
The Japanese-language version of this Policy shall be the authoritative text. The Chinese (Traditional Chinese) version and the English version are translations for reference only, and in the event of any discrepancy among the language versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.
